Savior Rifle Bag Review: Is This the Ultimate Dual Rifle Bag?

The Savior Equipment Urban Warfare Tactical Double Long Gun Bag offers exceptional durability, organization, and performance, making it a top choice for transporting firearms.

I understand the pain of trying to cram two rifles, mags, and PPE into a flimsy bag. One that’s bursting at the seams. I got sick of floppy rifle “cases” but I didn’t always want a rigid case when heading to the range. Two years ago, I picked up the Savior Equipment Urban Warfare Double Rifle Bag to see what it’s capable of. I wanted to know if it could handle the abuse of a range trips and gear hauling.

This Savior rifle bag has been through dozens of desert trips, rainy range days, and gear-loading sessions. I didn’t want to give you a ‘first impressions’ look; I wanted to see how the zippers held up and if the stitching frayed after 24 months of use. After nearly two years with it, it’s safe to say this rifle bag is a winner in my book. Here is why it is my go-to choice for getting gear from the safe to the firing line.

Savior Rifle Bag: Build Specs

The first thing that stood out was its build quality. The 600D Polyester exterior and shell material immediately gave the impression of durability. In terms of textiles and gear, 600D is a technical specification that tells you exactly how thick the fabric is. This isn’t one of those flimsy rifle bags that feels like it’ll fray at the first sign of hard use. From the reinforced stitching to the lockable zippers, everything about this case screamed rugged reliability.

It’s a true double-rifle case. It can comfortably carry two long guns. There is still space for additional pistols, magazines, and accessories. Savior recommends for the best fit to “Measure your firearm length, add 2 inches to that length, and select the next size up.” The padded interior and hook-and-loop straps ensured that rifles stayed in place, even when jostled around in the back of a truck or SUV.  Savior has a lifetime warranty that protects against defects in craftsmanship. “All products sold by Savior Equipment or its authorized dealers are covered by the Savior Lifetime Warranty, unless otherwise noted.” Savior Warranty

Real-World Performance: Range-Tested, Road-Proven

One of my first serious tests for the Savior Equipment case came on a full day trip out to my favorite outdoor desert “range”. Packed with two 16” AR-15’s and a few sidearms in the included pistol compartment, this bag carried everything needed for a full day of training.

The backpack-style straps came in handy when hauling gear from the vehicle to the staging area. Carrying 50+ pounds of firearms and ammo on a shoulder sling can get old fast, but with the padded backpack straps, the load distribution made for an easy carry. Plus, for those who prefer a quick grab-and-go option, the padded side handle is comfortable and reinforced to handle the weight.

Over time, this case has seen its fair share of rough treatment, thrown into truck beds, left in the rain and left sitting in the dirt during drills. Despite the abuse, it’s held up exceptionally well. The zippers have remained smooth and reliable, and the material shows minimal wear beyond some expected scuffing. I fully expect this rifle case to last many years making it a solid investment.

Storage & Organization: Everything in Its Place

One of the best features of the Savior rifle bag is its organizational capacity. For anyone who likes to keep their gear squared away, this case gives you the ability to do so.

– Primary Rifle Compartments: One large, well-padded section holds 2 rifles securely with adjustable retention straps and a padded separation “wall” between them. I’ve found that when packing up two rifles they should be in a yin/yang or nested in opposition from each other, muzzle to stock and stock to muzzle for the best fit.

– Pistol & Magazine Storage: The included padded pistol compartment is roomy enough for two full sized handguns. They slide into the padding on each side and that keeps them protected and separate from anything else in that pouch. The pocket flap features zippered mesh compartments for magazines or gear like eye protection, tools, and range necessities.

– Admin & Gear Pouches: With multiple exterior pockets, keeping everything from shooting gloves to notebooks is easy and convenient.  Folded up ear protection even fits in these big exterior pouches.

Rifle Bag Built for the Long Haul

After 2 years of use, the Savior Equipment Urban Warfare Double Rifle Case has earned its place in our gear lineup. It has stood up to repeated range trips, training exercises, and travel, showing minimal wear. It handles maxed-out loads and its fair share of salt.

For prepared citizens who need a reliable, well-organized, and durable rifle case, this one is a solid investment. Whether you’re a weekend shooter or someone who takes their training seriously, this bag won’t let you down. I’ve raved about this bag to all my friends, and now they’re all Savior fans. Their pistol case is great too! (Maybe a good opportunity to do a future review on it.)
